Service 4 will divert via Chaloner’s Rd, Moor Lane, and Tadcaster Road in both directions.

To allow resurfacing to take place Chestnut Grove will be closed between 9:00am and 5:00pm from Monday 23rd Nov to Wednesday 25th Nov.
To allow resurfacing to take place Cranbrook Road will be closed between 9:00am and 5:00pm from Monday 23rd Nov to Wednesday 25th Nov.
There will be no on street parking allowed in either street during the working times.

City of York Council will be carrying out essential resurfacing works on Bad Bargain Lane from Monday 16 November.
The work is expected to take one week to complete, weather permitting. Work will take place between 9.15am and 2.45pm.
In order to carry out these works safely a temporary road closure of Bad Bargain Lane will be in place. Residents are advised there will be no access for vehicles during working hours except in emergencies. There will be no on-street parking during these times.

City of York Council will be carrying out works to resurface Jockey Lane which forms a busy route to one of York’s top retail destinations, Monks Cross, from Sunday 15 November.
The work will extend between the junctions of New Lane and Kathryn Avenue. The work is expected to take one week to complete, weather permitting.

City of York Council is to carry out patching repairs to the carriageway on Salisbury Terrace in the week beginning 9th November. The programmed start date for the work is 10th November. The works are programmed to take approximately 2 days to complete, working weekdays only between 09:00 and 16:00. The areas affected are shown on the plan on the reverse of this letter.
In order to carry out these works safely, the road will be closed to all vehicles. There will be a diversion route in place each day until the works have been completed, at which time the road will be reopened to traffic.
Buses will not be able to service this area – an alternative route will be arranged by the bus companies.
Due to the nature of the works and the size and quantity of machinery required to carry out the works, it will not always be possible for residents to gain vehicular access to their properties.
Parking on Salisbury Terrace will be suspended for the duration of the works
Pedestrian access will be available at all times where possible. Cyclists will have to dismount and use the footways when travelling through the affected areas.

The Westfield Lib Dem team has been pressing council officers to have the road resurfaced at the Cornlands Road/Gale Lane roundabout.
This is now happening on 9th November.
There has been some delay to the timescale that the team had been first told about, and we are inve
stigating what has gone one in this case.
However, the issue, which had also been raised by the local Cornlands and Lowfields Residents Association looks like coming to a conclusion, and the surface made safe for car users, and in particular cyclists.
On the day of the road repairs traffic will be diverted along Gale Lane and Askham Lane.
The first phase of works started this week on Jockey Lane, leading to Monks Cross, which is programmed to last up to six weeks.
Works involve modifications to the kerb lines and improvements to the southern footway between The Range store and Sainsbury’s, which will widen the footway to accommodate shared use by cyclists and pedestrians. A new zebra crossing will also be introduced near the Sainsbury’s store entrance.
