Other snickets have also been cleared of litter.
Slower progress in removing fly tipping from the Grange Lane park and in sweeping some gutters.

Westfield action round up – Some of he issues that we have reported for action this week
ROUNDABOUT RESURFACING AT GALE LANE/CORNLANDS ROAD JUNCTION
The Westfield Lib Dem team has been pressing council officers to have the road resurfaced at the Cornlands Road/Gale Lane roundabout.
This is now happening on 9th November.
There has been some delay to the timescale that the team had been first told about, and we are investigating what has gone one in this case.
However, the issue, which had also been raised by the local Cornlands and Lowfields Residents Association looks like coming to a conclusion, and the surface made safe for car users, and in particular cyclists.
On the day of the road repairs traffic will be diverted along Gale Lane and Askham Lane.
A cyclist was knocked off their bike on Gale Lane this morning.
North Yorkshire Police said a silver Volkswagen Golf collided with the cyclist at 7.45am today
A spokeswoman said the cyclist was knocked from his bike, but the driver of the car failed to stop at the scene.
The spokeswoman said the cyclist was uninjured in the incident, but his bike was badly damaged, and urged anyone who saw the collision or has information in connection with it to contact police on 101 quoting reference NYP-12102015-0072.
Lethal potholes being ignored by York Council
Ever deepening potholes on the roundabout at the junction of Cornlands Road and Gale lane are causing a major accident risk for cyclists
So far the Council has ignored requests – stretching back to 2012 – for the holes to be made safe.
The Coalition government has recently made an additional £300,000 available to deal with problems potholes like these.
Former Westfield Councillor Andrew Waller has now written to the head of Highways Maintenance at the Council asking for action.
Similar problems with disintegrating speed cushions/tables have also been raised.
NB. The Council earlier in the week agreed to the general introduction of rubber speed cushions.
These have been tested over the last year or so at various locations in the City including part of Askham Lane.
The design is controversial but the decision was taken behind closed doors with no new driver consultation.
