Knitted Doll StoriesCome along to our fantastic fun-filled session of stories and crafts with children’s author, Bat Oren. Meet the Knitted Dolls, hear their stories and get creative with crafts.

This is a FREE session, but booking is advised as places are limited. This event is suitable for 5+ years.

Aug 30_AbilityThere will be an open day at Energise Sports Centre on Tue 30 Aug showcasing some of the great opportunities York offers.

There is also sport for those who are Deaf and hearing impaired in the morning (BSL interpreters available) and Visually impaired in the afternoon at York St John University on Wed 31 Aug.

You can just turn up to both of these events. The only sporting activity that needs booking is climbing which can be done on the day.

The session at Energise is £3.70 and the deaf and hearing impaired and Visually impaired session at York St John is FREE.

2016 Festival of Flowers – Floral Delights

Aug 27FlowersFilling the magnificent historic interiors of the townhouse throughout, flowers and beautiful decorative objects will combine to create luscious and extravagant floral displays that pay homage to the Georgian era whist also celebrating the best of contemporary design and artistry.

The 2016 Festival of Flowers takes as its the theme Georgian Floral Delights. The House will be transformed by New Earswick Flower Club and friends whose floral creations will be inspired by the entertainments, pastimes and amusements of the period whether card playing, taking tea, making music or even horseracing on the Knavesmire.

Come and be entranced by the glorious and creative forms that this takes.
