Call for volunteers to help shift wood-chip “mountain” in Foxwood
The Foxwood Residents Association is asking for help with a community garden project at the Foxwood Community centre which will see a large amount of wood chippings spread on flower beds. The move is intended to discourage week growth next season when the Association will be entering the “Yorkshire in Bloom” contest.

The footpath resurfacing works on Bellhouse Way are currently running about one week behind schedule. Affected frontagers have been advised of the new timetable
Good progress was made yesterday by the gulley cleaner operating in the Foxwood area. Good to see the Council getting ready for winter after the recent problems experienced in parts of the City with surface water.
Local Councillor tackles fly tipping on Tedder Road
Cllr Sheena Jackson points out a bed which was dumped overnight. The use fo portable CCTV cameras at fly tipping locations is being considered. A recent court case in west York resulted in fines of £600 being levied to a fly-tipper.
