What’s on in York: Plant sale on 21st May confirmed
Poppleton Community Railway Nursery will be staging their annual plant sale in the Foxwood Community Centre car park on Friday 21st May.
The event will take place between 10:30am and 1:00pm.
The Foxwood Residents Association will also be running their “everyone a winner” tombola
Cycle security marking today
Have your bicycle security marked by the Police today at Foxwood Community Centre between 9:30am and 11:30am
Also plant sale and free surplus food distribution.
What’s on in York; Cycle security marking on Friday
Organisers were reminding cyclists that there is an opportunity on Friday to have their bikes security marked by the Police.
The event, which will be held in the Foxwood Community Centre car park on Bellhouse Way, starts at 9:30am.
There will also be an opportunity to buy some perennial plants which have been grown in the community garden and to select some surplus food from the regular give away which is organised by volunteers.
Coronavirus York updates – 14th April 2020
Deaths
Six deaths – the biggest daily rise since the outbreak started – bring the total number of coronavirus related deaths within the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to 48 – compared to 42 the day before.
Local traders
Traders are finding innovative ways of serving customers. Particularly important for small traders selling seasonal items like bedding plants. Sales – and people with time to plant out their borders – have a limited window of opportunity.
