York-based inclusive arts charity Accessible Arts & Media champions and celebrates the talents of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

What better way to celebrate their 33rd birthday, than with a gig in York on Friday 26th June featuring three incredible performance groups: MiXiT, Hands & Voices and Chilli BON BON ?

MiXiT, the ground-breaking inclusive pop group from County Durham, blew everyone away when they performed in York for the first time last year.
Made up of both disabled and non-disabled singers this hugely talented group have performed all over the UK to massive audiences and they can’t wait to bring their joyful celebration of all things pop to everyone here in York.

Murder in the libraries

 

 Tue 23 June: 7.00pm – 8.30pm :  Dringhouses Library

Join local authors and members of York Authors Pauline Kirk (writing as PJ Quinn), Julian Cole, Edwin Thomas and Adrian Paul Fayter for an evening of chat about all things crime – what is its fascination, for York Authors, and for readers.

Tickets are £5 each and include refreshments.

Books will be available to buy at a discount.

Summer Fairs on Saturday 20th June

Summer Fayre

Saturday 20th June sees the Chapmans Pond / Love to Eat summer fair on Moor Lane, from 11am to 3pm.

There’ll be a BBQ serving hotdogs from Richardsons of Woodthorpe and a host of activities, including:

  • Bouncy castle
  • Vintage bric-a-brac
  • Plant stalls and craft stalls
  • Live music
