Holiday bus services in York unveiled
Impact of Tour de Yorkshire on bus services on May 3rd remains unclear
Good Friday (3 April)
A Sunday service will operate on all routes except:
- York Park & Ride: normal weekday service
- Arriva Yorkshire (York & Selby area): Saturday service on all routes, except 26, 42 and 415/416 (weekday service after 7pm)
- ConnexionsBuses: Saturday service on all routes
- Dalesbus: no service
- EYMS: Sunday service except 115/119 (weekday service) and 400/401 (no service)
- First Leeds (X84): Saturday service
- Transdev Coastliner, Harrogate, Keighley & York (not Burnley & Pendle or Lancashire): Saturday service on all routes, plus Sunday service on York 11, 13 and 16A
Easter Saturday (4 April)
A normal Saturday service will operate on all routes
Easter Sunday (5 April)
A normal Sunday service will operate on all routes
- Stephensons: start of 184/185 from York to Helmsley
Easter Monday (6 April)
A Sunday service will operate on all routes except:
- York Park & Ride: normal weekday service
- EYMS: Sunday service except 115/119 (weekday service)
Stephensons will not run any services on 29/31/31X, 181/183, 193 or 194 on Good Friday or Easter Monday.
May Day (4 May)
A Sunday service will operate on all routes except:
- York Park & Ride: normal weekday service
- Little White Bus will run a normal weekday service (instead of 855)
- Stephensons: bank holiday timetables on 29/31/31X, 181/183, 193 and 194
York Council set to close large number of back lanes
Dozens of new parking restrictions also being rushed through before Council election called
Behind closed doors decisions were taken last week to close seven back lanes and alleyways in the City.
In addition new parking restrictions were proposed for sixteen streets across a wide area

- Proposal to restrict public rights over alleyways between Curzon Terrace and Albemarle Road, and Knavesmire Crescent and Curzon Terrace (Micklegate Ward) None of the Ward Councillors responded to consultation on this plan which attracted a large number of objections
- Proposal to restrict public rights over alleyway between Brunswick Street/South Bank Avenue, (Micklegate Ward)
- Proposal to restrict public rights over alleyway between Kyme Street, Baile Hill Terrace and Newton Terrace, (Micklegate Ward)
- Proposal to restrict public rights over alleyways between Barbican Road/Willis Street, Willis Street/Gordon Street and Gordon Street/Wolsley Street, (Fishergate Ward)
- Residents’ Priority Parking Area in Abbey Street Director overruled a large number of objections including a request for a public decision meeting
