York Council set to publish new explosives policy as sex venue seeks new licence

Following changes to national legislation the Council is set to agree a new policy on explosives at a meeting being held on 7th September.

The council currently licence 35 premises to store explosives, a majority of these premises are supermarkets and convenience stores who store and sell firework.

NB. The same meeting will consider an application for a sex establishment licence for premises at the “Black Orchid” in Toft Green
