Hospital patients and deaths

Test Results

143 positive tests results announced today. That is the largest figure for several days. They bring the cumulative total up to 14,642.

The number of cases in the City has fallen from 867 to 850. It is likely to rise to a new peak high tomorrow (Thursday)

The rate /100k population has fallen slightly to 403.59. It is expected to remain at around 410 for the next few days

Neighbourhoods

Small reduction in case numbers at the University/Heslington and in Tang Hall today

Vaccinations

Another milestone today as we now have over 100,000 citizens who have had two doses of vaccine

Tests

  • During the week ending 2nd July 2021, 8014 PCR tests were conducted.
  • Of these, 10.5% were positive. This represents a reduction on the 10.8% positivity rate found during the previous period.
  • 2286 “lateral flow” tests were also conducted on 6th July 2021
