City of York Council will be resurfacing several roads across York throughout July and August to ensure they are properly maintained and up to standard.
The roads that are to be resurfaced include:
- · Hambleton Terrace on 10 July for three days with work taking place between 8.30am – 5.30pm
- · Nunthorpe Avenue on 17 July for two days with work taking place between 9.15am – 3pm
- · Poplar Street from 19 July for three days with work taking place between 8.30am – 5.30pm
- · Field Lane from 24 July for three days with work taking place between 9.15am – 4.30pm
- · Newton Terrace on 27 July for one day with work taking place between 8.30am – 5.30pm
- · Park Grove from 31 July for three days with work taking place between 8.30am – 5.30pm
- · Earle Street on 3 August for one day with work taking place between 8.30am – 5.30pm
- · Filey Terrace from 7 August for two days with work taking place between 8.30am – 5.30pm
There will be no on-street parking during these times. Residents who require vehicle access are asked to inform operatives on site to ensure safety, access will only be allowed if it is safe to do so. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.
As with any construction work, there is likely to be a certain amount of disruption. Residents are assured that everything reasonably possible will be done to keep this to a minimum, however motorists should expect some delays and plan their journey accordingly.
The contractor carrying out the work is Cemex who will be responsible for safety.
