Spending a penny costs Foxwood dog owner £435

A dog owner, who allowed their pet to foul in the Oldman Court area in November, faced a £300 fine plus £135 in costs.

So far this year there has been 1 prosecution for dig fouling in the City. In 2 other cases Fixed Penalty Notices were handed out.

Woman pronounced dead in A64 collision – Appeal for witnesses

Police investigating a serious road traffic collision on the A64 near York can confirm that the driver of the vehicle involved, a 30-year-old woman, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.

Officers, who are still conducting investigations at the scene of the collision, are appealing to any witnesses to get in touch as soon as possible.

The westbound carriageway of the A64 remains closed at this time.

Anyone who can help the investigation is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Traffic Sergeant Paul Cording or Traffic Constable Gemma Wood.
