Front Street, Acomb – resurfacing work from Sunday

Front Street bus stopCity of York Council will be carrying essential resurfacing on Front Street Acomb on Sunday 14, Monday 15 and Sunday 21 August.

The work is expected to take three days to complete, weather dependant. Work will take place between 8am-6pm on both Sundays and from 9am-4pm on Monday.

In order to carry out the work safely a road closure will be in place during working hours on Front Street. The closure will be in place from the junction of Morrisons to the junction with Gale Lane. There will be a signed diversion route whilst work is taking place.

If vehicle access to or from properties within the works is needed, residents are asked to inform the onsite traffic management who will work to minimise disruption. Pedestrian access will be available at all times.

As with any construction work, there is likely to be a certain amount of disruption. Residents are assured that everything reasonably possible will be done to keep this to a minimum, however motorists should expect some delays and plan their journey accordingly.

The contractor Specialist Surfacing of Scunthorpe will be responsible for safety and providing pedestrian access at all times.
