Deaths and test results

No additional deaths have been announced by the York Hospital Trust today

FORTY NINE (49) additional positive test results have been announced today. Brings cumulative total to 6119. Some are cases backdated to 1st December

Rate /100k population rises to 84,2. It is expected to top 100 during next couple of days.

This is the highest level seen since late November – before lockdown was eased.

Only one neighbourhood now has an infection rate of fewer than 3 cases (Clifton North)

Against a background of generally increasing rates across the City (and country) one ward (Poppleton) has crept back above the 200 case threshold.

Moor Lane COVID vaccination centre open from tomorrow (Monday)

Nimbuscare Ltd, the York-based at scale primary care provider, said it will begin offering the Covid-19 vaccine to invited individuals from Monday.  

Priority groups will be offered the vaccine first. Two jabs will be required.

People arriving for a Covid vaccine injection will be asked to park their car, before being directed to the right area to receive the vaccine.
