An increase in hospital patient numbers is reported today but there have been no more deaths

The number of cases in the City has fallen by 66 to 870

The rate /100k population has fallen to 413.09. The trend downwards continues and there are hopes that tomorrows figures will see the rate fall below 400.

Infection rates are continuing to fall at City. county, regional and national levels.

• 7997 PCR tests were completed during the week ending 21st July 2021
• Of these, 11.5% were positive. This is less than the 12.0% positivity rate found during the previous week.
• In addition, 2157 “lateral flow” test swere completed on 25th July 2021
