City of York Council’s i-Travel York team are hosing a breakfast meeting on Tuesday 26 November at the Best Western Monk Bar Hotel from 8.30am till 9:30am and are encouraging all businesses – particularly during this week’s York Business Week 2013 to consider attending.
The event will showcase a new video which is the result of collaboration work with York businesses and will also highlight the benefits of business travel planning and the services which the council can provide to businesses to assist them with their travel plans.
There will also be a chance to find out more about the benefits of the recently launched ECO Stars Fleet Recognition Scheme, funded via a government air quality grant. The scheme offers free guidance on the best operational and environmental practices, helping to minimise fleet running costs and emissions to air.
David Short, i-Travel York Programme Manager at City of York Council, said: “We’re encouraging all businesses to sign-up to this free event, particularly during York’s Business Week 2013, or consider discussing their travel needs at a later date. We can help provide a whole host of business travel planning advice, tailored to them and their employees. The conference is free and the benefits of gaining this advice could save them and their employees’ money in the process.”
Delegates wishing to attend should contact David Short on 01904 551571 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
