Police issue crime warning in west York/ CCTV camera will continue for another year

Elsewhere the CCTV camera coverage in Chapelfields will continue for a further year. The housing department have agreed to sponsor the camera subscription.

It’s future had been under threat following the budget cuts introduced by the Labour Council.

More York Councillors are signing up to the Local Government superannuation scheme.

The Council has released figures which show;

In 2010/11, 11 elected members were in the Authority’s pension scheme.
£7080.77 was the total amount of contributions deducted from the members allowances.
£21,243.62 was the total amount of employer contributions paid on behalf of the elected members.

• In 2011/12, 22 elected members were in the Authority’s pension scheme.
£12,837.35 was the total amount of contributions deducted from the members allowances.
£39,678.95 was the total amount of employer contributions paid on behalf of the elected members.
